Terms of Service

Effective date: August 22, 2026

These terms govern use of the Post 241 Calendar Admin application operated for American Legion Post 241. By using the application, you agree to use it only for legitimate Post 241 event administration and in accordance with these terms.

Authorized use

The administrative application is available only to authorized Post 241 administrators whose verified Google email address is on the server-side allowlist. You may not attempt to bypass access controls, impersonate another person, share an administrative session, or use another person's Google authorization.

Google Calendar access

The application requests identity and Google Calendar read-only permission. It reads calendars and event information for event review and website publication. It does not create, modify, or delete Google Calendar events. Users remain responsible for the accuracy, authority, and appropriateness of calendar content they choose to publish.

Publication responsibilities

Imported events are private by default. Administrators must confirm that an event is intended for the public before approving it. Automatic publication should be enabled only for a dedicated calendar whose entire contents are intentionally public. Administrators must not publish private meetings, personal information, confidential member information, or content they are not authorized to disclose.

Security responsibilities

You must protect your Google account, use secure devices, sign out when administration is complete on a shared device, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Post 241 may suspend access, revoke stored authorization, or remove an account from the allowlist to protect the service or the organization.

Availability and changes

The application and event feed are provided on an as-available basis. Synchronization can be delayed or interrupted by Google, hosting, network, or maintenance conditions. The public site keeps static event information as a fallback, but users should independently confirm time-sensitive event details. Post 241 may update, suspend, or discontinue the administrative application and may revise these terms as operational or legal requirements change.

No transfer of Google authorization

Google authorization is personal to the account that grants it. Access tokens, refresh tokens, client credentials, and administrative sessions may not be copied, sold, disclosed, or transferred to another person.

Privacy

Our handling of Google user data and administrative information is described in the Privacy Policy. Continued use of the application constitutes acknowledgment of that policy.

Contact

Questions, access changes, or requests to remove stored authorization may be sent to alpost241@gmail.com or mailed to American Legion Post 241, 7605 Bluffton Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46809.

These administrative terms do not apply to ordinary visitors viewing public Post 241 pages. Public visitors do not sign in with Google or grant calendar access.
